Kingsfield First School
Built in 1908,Kingsfield First School is at the heart of the Biddulph community, located in the town centre. Deceptive by looks, we are quite a large school with a two form entry and a vibrant Nursery. Fortunately, Kingsfield has a wealth of resources in addition to the spacious classrooms. Resources include:- several additional teaching spaces for small group work, a library, a music room, a fully resourced computer suite, a cookery room, a multi-purpose hall and a fully equipped kitchen that provides school meals freshly cooked on site. Externally in addition to the three playgrounds we have a recently installed a gym trail and also a play park and a school field which has the formal sports field and a woodland nature area. To compliment the array of resources Kingsfield has twenty-two full-time expert teaching staff and working part time we have a forest schools teacher, a swimming coach and a peripatetic music teacher. Such facilities, combined with the staffing allow us to offer a fully enriched curriculum to include swimming, forest schools, ukulele and violin lessons. With the school motto of “Learn Together…Play Together,,,Succeed Together, the essence of partnership grows from the school community and beyond, being Federated with Knypersley First school through the Learning First Federation and also joining the Children First Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust in April 2019. Following our most recent 2016 Ofsted inspection Kingsfield was recognised as a “good” school, and described as a school where “leaders have created a positive and welcoming atmosphere for parents and pupils, in which pupils can learn and thrive.” This is key to our success.

Oxhey First School
Oxhey is a one and a half form entry first school educating children between the ages of 3 and 9 years old. The physical setting of the school has to be seen to be believed. Looking out from the large school playground on one side of the valley is Mow Cop and on the other side, is the Staffordshire Moorlands. The safe, secure setting is a feature of the school that is frequently commented upon by visitors to the school. We have a large diverse site, huge grassed areas, a little ‘forest’, play trail and three different playgrounds where children learn to get along with each other, relax and learn in a different context, further adding to the tranquil atmosphere of the school.
The relationship we have developed with our parents and the local community are very important to us. We actively engage with all other local schools and community groups to ensure that our pupils make the very best start to their education and also move smoothly through to our Middle and High schools, equipped with a range of skills, confidence and positive learning attitudes.
One of the lasting impressions visitors to our school comment on is the behaviour, manners and productivity of the learners in an orderly, quiet and calm environment, this is down to the close relationships staff and children have established and the high expectations we all have of each other.
Reginald Mitchell Primary School
The Reginald Mitchell Primary School is a single form entry primary school catering for two hundred and thirty 3 to 11 year olds and in April 2019 we joined The Children First Learning Partnership. We are located in North Staffordshire very close to the border of Cheshire and the city of Stoke-on-Trent. The school was originally called Butt Lane Primary School but was renamed in 1951 as a lasting tribute to Reginald Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire fighter aeroplane, who was born within earshot of our school. Our aim is to provide the finest educational experience in a caring, safe, bright and stimulating environment. Our school moto is – Work together, Learn together, Reach for the sky. In our most recent Ofsted inspection we were judged to be good in all areas. We understand that successful learning takes place when we work closely with families, so we are committed to creating strong links between school and home, as well as with the wider community. Castlechurch Primary School
Our school is central to our local community and we see ourselves as a family. At Castlechurch our mission statement is ‘Working together to achieve our best’, and we are very proud of the strong, positive links we have with our wider community, as well as the children and families who make our school the fabulous, welcoming hub that it is.
Sat in an elevated position in the heart of the Highfields estate in Stafford, Castlechurch Primary School enjoys wonderful sweeping views of the town and is only a few minutes away from the historic Stafford Castle, which we make regular use of! Our school name reflects the close location of our school to both the castle and the beautiful church that sits at the foot of the hill on which the castle stands. Built in 1964 on the site of an old oak tree, which you will no doubt hear mentioned in our wonderful school song, our classes are all named after trees, reflecting our belief that with nurture, learning never stops growing – just like trees. We currently have 295 children on roll and we educate children from the age of 3 – 11. Education at Castlechurch starts in our nursery, Acorns class, which has its own building and outdoor learning area, providing a safe and secure start to their education, and growing their roots for lifelong learning.
Our school is currently graded as requires improvement by Ofsted, which we have been working tirelessly to improve. We are proud of the fantastic and rapid progress we have made since the arrival of our new Headteacher, Mrs Reynolds, who is leading us enthusiastically in our vision for an outstanding Castlechurch. Following our most recent Ofsted monitoring visit, the school was praised for the progress it is making, with clear leadership and progress on our journey of improvement being credited. We strive to provide our children not only with the tools for being life-long learners through the broad and balanced curriculum we offer, but also through instilling our pupils with the Castlechurch school values of PRIDE – showing passion, respect, individuality, determination, and enjoyment in all we do. As the most recent school to join the CLFP academy, we are excited to begin our journey as part of a wider, supportive team who we know will encourage and support us on our path to outstanding at every step of the way!
